MORE than 300 people have visited Weston Museum to see an exhibition of pictures from the 1950s by Bleadon Photographic Group.
The exhibition was visited by Weston mayor David Hitchins while the pictures, a mix of black and white prints and colour shots, proved popular during the exhibition, which closed on Friday.
The photographs of Weston from 60 years ago were shown alongside modern-day equivalents.
A spokesman for the group said: “The comparisons have been marked in some instances, with little change in others.
“Education and public services have obviously advanced considerably with technology, leisure is more sophisticated, but the donkey rides continue as before.
“The club has felt that it has been really rewarding to re-evaluate life in Weston and to appreciate its progress.”
