AN AWARD-WINNING musical which has received critical acclaim for its poignant portrayal of life with HIV is being performed in Weston's Blakehay Theatre.

Jonathan Larson’s long-running Broadway classic, Rent, is being performed by local group YMTC.

It has scooped a Tony and Nobel Prize for its bold depiction of homophobia and poverty.

The show will run at the venue in Wadham Street from September 11-13 at 7.30pm.
