Strictly Come Dancing winner Caroline Flack is set to don her dancing shows once again as she stars in feel-good musical Crazy For You at The Bristol Hippodrome.
This high-energy show has a number of memorable songs for you to enjoy as it celebrates a number of great Broadway musicals.
It is a tale of heartbreak, happiness and excitement, with big tunes such as I Got Rhythm, They Can’t Take That Away From Me, Nice Work If You Can Get It and Embraceable.
The three main characters are Polly, who will be played by Olivier-award winning Charlotte Wakefield, Bobby, who will be played by Tom Chambers and Irene, a role which will be filled by Flack.
Crazy For You follows the troubled love story of Bobby, who is the son of a rich New York banking family and Polly, who is the daughter of the proprietor of a failing theatre in Deadrock, Nevada. Bobby is sent to close the theatre down but falls for Polly in the process.
The two then try to join forces to save the theatre – but it is not all plain sailing.
Chambers returns to the stage having recently starred in the huge West End hit Top Hat. He played Jerry Travers and received an Olivier Award for his performance.
The actor also has a glitter ball to his name, as he won the sixth series of Strictly Come Dancing and his career has gone from strength to strength ever since.
He has starred in Waterloo Road and Holby City, and taken to the stage in Private Lives and White Christmas, which are both West End productions.
Flack is also no stranger to performing as before her illustrious presenting career, she studied musical theatre.
And she has been on the UK’s television screens throughout the summer presenting Love Island.
The Gershwin Brothers provide the emotional score for this production and the romantic comedy is one which is sure to thrill the audience in Bristol.
Crazy For You will be at The Bristol Hippodrome, in St Augustine’s Parade, from October 10-14 at 7.30pm each night. There will also be matinee performances at 2.30pm on October 11, 12 and 14.
Tickets, priced £22.90-60.40, are available by calling 08448 713012 or online via www.atgtickets.co.uk/bristolhippodrome
