ALTHOUGH it's snow joke to be kept out in the cold, a story told in a tent within a park may just provide the remedy for those winter blues.A Frosty Tale, billed as 'a family show with lots of snow', will be staged in a big top circus tent in Clarence Park West, Weston, on January 27 and 28.Steve Apelt, of the Blue Moon Theatre Company, will narrate the winter adventure, presented by North Somerset Play Forum. The show will take children and their families on a winter journey in search of Spring. Along the way they will meet characters such as a dragon and a mad juggler, and be given the chance to participate in the story, all the time trying to avoid the icy clutches of Jack Frost. Quita Allender, manager of the play forum, said: "Once Christmas is over, January always seems a long, depressing month, so we wanted to do something to brighten it up. In A Frosty Tale, children can see such old favourites as Steve, from Blue Moon, and Nutty Noah. We're looking forward to meeting all our friends from the parks in the summer again, so make sure you come along."Admission to A Frosty Tale is free. For more details call Quita on 01934 844353.
