King of comedy Brian Conley and fashion guru Gok Wan will bring a touch of magic to the theatre this Christmas as they head up the cast of Cinderella at the Bristol Hippodrome.
In a career spanning three decades, Brian Conley has appeared in award-winning West End musicals and television sitcoms, presented his own chat shows, recorded three albums and completed numerous sell-out tours of the UK.
Gok Wan will play The Fairy Gokmother in his sixth pantomime appearance.
The style guru will offer helpful style tips to The Ugly Sisters and create the most magical ball gown in panto-land for Cinderealla.
Gok shot to fame with his Channel 4 series, How To Look Good Naked, and he went on to present a number of shows including three series of Gok’s Fasion Fix, How To Cook Chinese and Gok’s Style Secrets.
Theatre director Jenny Hutchinson said: ”Having Brian and Gok starring in Cinderella this year will delight Bristol audiences.
“Off the back of a great run last year with Aladdin, with many customers saying it was the best panto they’d ever seen, I’m thrilled QDOS Entertainment have raised the bar even higher.”
Audiences will cheer and boo along to the heroes and villans in the rags to riches tale as Cinderella outwits her ugly sisters with the help of her friend Buttons and The Fairy Gokmother – and wins the heart of the dashing Prince Charming.
The spectacular show, supported by BAWA Healthcare and Leisure, is at The Bristol Hippodrome from Saturday to January 6.
Ticket prices start at £12 and are available on 08448 713012 or at www.atgtickets.com/bristol-hippodrome
The Mercury has teamed up with the Bristol Hippodrome to give readers the chance to win one family ticket to see the show at 7pm on January 3.
