Hospital comedy in Weston

A HOSPITAL comedy written by a Bristol playwright will be performed in Weston this month.
Ward 7 features an array of colourful characters with five West Country actors taking on the 11 roles.
With an iron-fisted staff nurse, a vulnerable hospital chaplain and two feuding twin sisters, tempers flare, secrets are revealed and tears are shed.
Writer Kate Spencer said: “Ward 7 has pushed me outside of my comfort zone this time by introducing a variety of challenging characters with multiple roles.
“Like many comedy writers, my material comes from everyday situations I’ve experienced.
You just can’t beat real life stories and known characters even though at times they are both quite unbelievable.”
Ward 7 will be at the Blakehay Theatre on September 20-21.
Tickets, priced £15, are available from the box office on 01934 645493 or online at www.blakehaytheatre.ticketsource.co.uk
