Jimmy Carr

The host of 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown will be taking to the Playhouse stage in Weston this month.

Jimmy Carr has become one of the UK's most popular stand-up performers - his routines may hit a few nerves and stretch the boundaries of decency, but they always get a laugh.

The 46-year-old's popularity means one of his shows in Weston has already sold out and therefore the best way to get a ticket now for his May gig is through the Mercury's competition.

Carr's Terribly Funny tour is seeing him take in all corners of the UK and his trip to the South West is a golden opportunity to see the comedian live on stage.

He is no stranger to making an audience laugh at some of the biggest venues in the land. Whether starring at The Apollo, in London, or any other venue, anybody who dares heckle him ought to be wary - you will not be able to hold your own if Carr takes you on one-on-one.

He has also appeared in a wealth of top television shows too over the years, including QI, Have I Got News For You and many more besides.

He is also a regular host on popular panel shows 8 Out Of 10 Cats, its Countdown spin-off show, and also Channel Four's Big Fat Quiz series.

Carr will be on stage in Weston at 7pm and 9.30pm on May 19 and 8pm on May 23.

The latter date is already sold out but some tickets remain on sale for his two May 19 performances.

Tickets, priced £32.50, are available at or on 01934 645544.
