A FORMER Brookside star will appear in a Cole Porter classic in Bath this week.Anything Goes will be staged at the Theatre Royal from Monday until June 10.Michael Starke, best-known for his role as Sinbad in the Liverpool-based soap, will star as Moonface Martin.From the golden age of the American comedy musical, Porter's nautical masterpiece is packed with classic numbers like You're The Top, It's De-Lovely, I Get A Kick Out Of You, Blow, Gabriel, Blow and the title song, Anything Goes.The tale follows luxury liner the ss American, which has set sail for England with a number of colourful passengers on-board. Mismatched lovers and mistaken identities make for an amusing trip. Anything Goes first hit Broadway in 1934 and the 1936 screen version starred Ethel Merman and Bing Crosby.Starring in the stage version of the riotous comedy will be Sandra Dickinson (The Hitch-hiker's Guide To The Galaxy, 2point4 Children, The Two Ronnies and Cover) and Barry Howard (Hi-De-Hi, The Two Ronnies).Tickets, priced £15-30, are available from the box office on 01225 448844.
