A NEW musical play about the life and times of one of the greatest jazz singers of all time will be staged in Weston in November.The Billie Holiday Story is a dramatisation of the ups and downs in the life of the musician.It starts with Billie's traumatic childhood in the back streets of Baltimore and leads on to the colourful jazz scene of New York's cafe society and Harlem's Apollo Theatre.The story is brought to life by a multi-talented cast of West End performers, who will sing 22 familiar hits including God Bless the Child and Strange Fruit.Tickets for the performance on November 9, priced £12.50-14.50, are available from the box office on 01934 645544.
