AN ALL-STAR cast will take to the stage in a classic thriller next week.
Kate O’Mara, Denis Lill, Susie Amy and Chloe Newsome will star in Murder On The Nile at the Theatre Royal Bath.
Following the success of Verdict and And Then There Were None, The Agatha Christie Theatre Company returns to Bath with a brand new production by the undisputed queen of crime.
It will be staged from Monday until January 28 at the theatre.
On board a steamer, cruising under the scorching Egyptian sun, honeymooners Simon Mostyn and his wealthy socialite wife Kay find themselves being pursued by an old flame of the newly-wedded groom.
When tragedy strikes and a body is discovered, all fingers point to Simon’s ex-fiancée. However, everything is not what it seems and holidaying cleric Canon Pennefather is drawn into a web of intrigue and deceit as he finds himself on the trail of a ruthless murderer.
Kate, the star of such television hits as Dynasty, Howard’s Way, The Brothers and, most recently, Bad Girls, makes a welcome return to Bath to star as Miss ffoliot-ffoulkes, while Denis, well known on television for playing Mr Rose in 80 episodes of The Royal from 2003 to 2011, Dennis in Outside Edge, Charles Vaughan in Survivors and roles in Rumpole of the Bailey, will star as Canon Pennefather.
Susie plays the role of Kay Mostyn. Well known on television for her role in Footballers’ Wives, which made her a household name, Susie braved arctic conditions in 2010 on the reality television series 71 Degrees North, battling through snow and ice against the likes of Gavin Henson and Konnie Huq to reach the most northernmost part of mainland Europe.
The role of Jacqueline de Severac is played by Chloe, who is well known for her long-running television role as Victoria Arden/McDonald in Coronation Street.
