Music of Madagascar to be brought to Burnham-on-Sea

A musical production based on the DreamWorks animation Madagascar will be performed in Burnham-on-Sea this weekend.

Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe and Gloria the hippo will be on stage at The Princess Theatre, in Princess Street, at 7pm on Saturday and 3pm on Sunday.

Madagascar: A Musical Adventure is being put on by the senior cast of Burnham Excellent Entertainment Society (BEES).

The show follows a group of animals as they plot to escape from their home in New York’s Central Park Zoo and find themselves on a journey to Madagascar.

The show is filled with outlandish characters and its upbeat score – which includes the track Move It, Move It which was made famous by the film – is sure to make any audience smile.
