The premiere of a new musical, Dusty, is set to be shown at the Theatre Royal Bath on Saturday at 7.30pm.

The show will run for two weeks and is based on an autobiography about the late singer, Dusty Springfield, which will be directed by four-time Olivier Award winner Maria Friedman.

Dusty will be played by Katherine Kingsley in the musical, who will perform alongside a team of 20 actors.

The cast of Dusty includes comedian Rufus Hound who is set to play Dusty’s manager, Billings, and actor Roberta Taylor, who will star as Dusty’s mother Kay.

Springfield was a British pop singer who sang I Only Want to Be with You, Son of a Preacher Man and You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me.

The musical Dusty will be performed at the Theatre Royal Bath from Saturday to July 7, with shows at 2.30pm and 7.30pm on certain days. There will be no performance on Monday.

Tickets, priced £23-£39, are available at or on 01225 448844.
