Opera makes its way to Weston-super-Mare

PUBLISHED: 10:00 30 June 2016

The Blakehay Theatre is welcoming Weston Operatic Society to the stage for four nights of a musical with a difference.

This performance of Gypsy is loosely based on the memoirs of Gypsy Rose Lee, who was a famous striptease artist.

However, this story shows how her mother coped with being a ‘showbusiness mum’.

This opera is one not to be missed as it showcases a wealth of local talent.

Gypsy will be at the Blakehay Theatre from August 17-20, with performances at 7.30pm each night and 2.30pm on August 20.

Tickets, priced at £15, are available by calling 01934 645493.
