A NIGHT full of Abba music performed live on stage will take place in Brent Knoll this month.

The show, held at Ivy Clad Hall, aims to take the audience on a journey through the story of the stage and film musical of Mamma Mia.

With a superb soundtrack featuring some of Abba’s biggest hits, the July 30 extravaganza tells a warming and light-hearted story of love, laughter and friendship.

The Mamma Mia Experience is a real feel good concert and includes a host of Abba’s greatest hits such as Dancing Queen, The Winner Takes It All, SOS, and Knowing Me Knowing You.

The evening of entertainment will feature six talented singers from the Somerset music scene.

Steph Cuttell from Burnham, Leah Farmer, Laura Leadbetter, Ian Doswell from Weston, Simon Duffill from Uphill and Mike Purnell from Congesbury, will be delighting audiences at this Abba fest.

Each of the singers has played numerous leading roles in various musicals at The Playhouse theatre in Weston, and have considerable experience.

The whole evening, in Brent Street, is the brainchild of Brent Knoll theatre director Robbie Burns, who has assembled his strongest team to bring the music of Abba alive on stage.

People are advised to bring a picnic and some chilled wine and relax in the grounds of Ivy Clad Hall while enjoying some top tunes.

The gates open for people to picnic at 6pm, there is free parking on site and the concert is from 7.30-10pm.

For tickets, priced £5-15, visit the village post office or call 01278 760225 or the box office on 0845 2249164.
