A rocking show aimed at families will arrive at the Theatre Tropicana in Weston-super-Mare in June.
Kid Carpet will perform songs from his hit family theatre shows, while inviting the audience to play ping pong, catch a lost sandwich in space and take part in a dance contest.
Ed Patrick, who is from Bristol, plays Kid Carpet, the name he came up with when he started making music with old toys and instruments.
He appeared on BBC Radio One’s Battle Of The One Man Bands following the release of his first album, Ideas And Oh Dears.
He has produced seven albums under the Kid Carpet name, and he has been a support act to Arcade Fire, Electric 6 and The Trachtenberg Family Slideshow Players.
In 2012, his career took a different turn and he started making theatre for families.
His early shows including Kid Carpet And The Noisy Animals, Blast Off and Noisy Nativity, performed at the Tobacco Factory Theatre in Bristol.
The latest show, Super Mega Rockin Rockshow draws together some of the best-known songs from his previous work and promises plenty of audience interaction and entertainment for children.
It will provide youngsters with all the tips they could possibly need to enjoy their first rock concert.
Super Mega Rockin Rockshow will be at the Theatre Tropicana, in Marine Parade, on June 4 at 2pm.
Tickets, priced £7 per person, or £25 family of four, are available from www.tobaccofactorytheatres.com
The show is suitable for children aged three to eight and their families.
The Mercury has teamed up with the Theatre Tropicana to offer two family tickets to the show.
Usual Archant rules apply and the editor’s decision is final. The competition closes at 10am on Monday.
