Playhouse competition - Not Now Darling
PUBLISHED: 09:07 29 July 2011
IF DOUBLE-ENTENDRES are your thing then look no further than the latest show at The Playhouse - Not Now Darling.
The show, from August 24-27, features the ever-popular and always hilariously funny Damian Williams, recently seen as the presenter on Sky One’s Are You Smarter than Your Ten Year Old?
Penned by two of the foremost writers of British farce, Ray Cooney and John Chapman, Not Now Darling was first staged at the Richmond Theatre, prior to a long West End run starring Donald Sinden and Bernard Cribbins.
Not Now Darling will feature all the hilarious elements you would expect from a Bruce James Productions farce, such as the misunderstandings and mistaken identities, the double-entendres and banging doors, as well as plenty of opportunities for Damian to demonstrate his trademark skills - including his popular interactions with the audience.
So if you like hilarious comedy plays and fancy a good farce, Not Now Darling will have you laughing in the aisles.
The comedy will be showing at the High Street venue at 7.30pm and there will be a matinee at 2.30pm on August 27.
Tickets, priced from £8, are available from The Playhouse or Winter Gardens box office on 01934 645544 or online at www.theplayhouse.co.uk
The Mercury has teamed up with The Playhouse to offer three lucky readers the chance to win a pair of tickets to the show.
