THE Music Man will be staged by Weston Operatic Society at The Playhouse, Weston, from October 17-21.Meredith Wilson's musical was first performed on Broadway in 1957 but is now rarely seen on stage. He talks the townsfolk into stumping up the cash for instruments for a boys' band. It ends well as the band appears and the parents are won over by Hill's charms.Professional producer/choreographer, Ray Jeffery, will again direct The Music Man which promises to be another hit for the society.* Tickets, priced £8.50-13, are available from The Playhouse box office on 01934 645544.
