Russell Howard has announced he will return to Bristol in years during his worldwide tour in 2020.

The award-winning Bristolian comedian has added six new dates at the Bristol Hippodrome, in St Augustines Parade, to meet fan demand.

He will be performing the gigs in his hometown from June 29 to July 4.

In his early career, he would make regular television appearances on Mock The Week, Would I Lie To You or 8 Out Of 10 Cats.

Howard started to gain popularity from his own show Russell Howard's Good News on BBC aired in 2009 and then The Russell Howard's Hour.

The successful comedian has since created more hilarious shows and content which has seen him win awards, focusing on day-to-day life topics like girlfriends, airports and children as well as taking a dig at his own family - mainly his brother and mum.

This will be the first tour Russell has done since 2017's Round The World.

He will be at the Hippodrome, in St Augustines Parade, at 7.30pm from June 29 to July 4.

Tickets go on pre-sale tomorrow (Thursday) at AXS website at 10am and on general sale on the Hippodrome's website.
