MUSICAL theatre fans will be in for a treat as the award-winning Solid Gold Country Legends perform at The Playhouse next month.

Now in its 10th year the show has proved popular on both sides of the Atlantic and arrives at the High Street venue at 7.30pm on July 5.

The show was awarded ‘best event’ at the British Country Music Awards in 2009 at a glittering award ceremony, and this year sees the hugely-popular show reach a milestone 10th anniversary.

To celebrate a decade of success, the show has some exciting new features, including two new band members and many great new songs.

Solid Gold Country Legends brings to the stage the perfect mix of old and new country from the classic hits of Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson and Tammy Wynette, to the rising stars of today with Garth Brooks, Shania Twain and Lady Antebellum to name just a few.

Joining the group on this hand-clapping, foot-stomping journey into the best of country music, are the brilliant Outlaw Country Band.

Add all this together with lots of stunning costume changes and a large slice of fun, and you have a great night of solid gold country music kicking up the dust in this seaside town.

Tickets, priced £17.50, are available from The Playhouse or Winter Gardens box office on 01934 645544, or visit www.theplayhouse.co.uk
