ONE of the best-loved children's shows of all time will be brought back to life in Weston next week.Joe Pasquale has transformed Rentaghost into a musical and it will be staged at The Playhouse on June 17.The performance is based on Bob Block's original BBC television series, which ran from 1975 to 1985. The programme entertained a whole generation, including Pasquale himself.Joe came up with the idea of a new musical when he was starring in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here, during which he had lots of spare time to think. The musical features creepy and comic characters from the original television series including Fred Mumford, Hubert Davenport, Timothy Claypole and Hazel McWitch.Audiences can watch as the team set about haunting the ancient Maudlin Manor, home of Ed The Head. But things go wrong when a newspaper editor sets them up for a crime they didn't commit.Tickets, priced £8.50-9.50, are available from the box office on 01934 645544.
