Stage all set for annual panto fun

SET off on an action-packed adventure with Dick Whittington and his loyal cat by joining The Wayfarers Drama Group for its fun-filled production next week.
The Weston actors will take to the stage in their annual pantomime at the Theatre-in-the-Hut in Milton Lane, off Milton Avenue, from Wednesday until February 5.
Dick Whittington, this version written by award winners Chris Denys and Chris Harris, is an adventure full of comedy capers, dazzling dance, song and plenty of audience participation.
Directed by Andy Jeffery, with co-direction and choreography by Sharone Miller, the leading roles of Dick Whittington, Alice, Tommy the Cat and the chorus will be performed by the talented members of Act One Youth Group including Gabby Middle, Chloe Sellars, Grace Maggs, Cara Leech, Millie Clark and Elsa Greed.
The cast also includes experienced actors Ros Francome (Fairy Bowbells), Dean Powell (Sarah the Cook), Kevin Chisholm (Billy), Steve Bradford (King Rat), Steve Fudge (Fitzwarren), Val Davies (Sultana of Morocco), Kyla Dawe (Queen Neptune), and John Butler (Queen Victoria, and a gorilla).
Dame Sarah the Cook will be dishing out huge helpings of comedy aided and abetted by the loveable Bosun Billy, and will join Dick, Tommy the Cat, and Alderman Fitzwarren on the good ship The Lady Alice as they set sail on the high seas to discover treasures beyond their wildest dreams.
