The Producers

A POPULAR musical comedy based on an Academy Award-winning movie is making its way to a South West stage.

The Producers follows a New York producer who is strapped for cash after a string of failed shows.

He recruits a weary accountant to help him pull off Broadway’s greatest scam – they aim to produce the worst show in history and run off to Rio with millions.

With a raucous script and eccentric characters, it is no wonder The Producers is considered one of the funniest musicals of all time.

The performance features a whole host of stars, including well-loved stand-up comedian Jason Manford, TV dance phenomenon Louie Spence and renowned comedian Phill Jupitus.

These famous faces star alongside West End leading lady Tiffany Graves, Olivier award-winning actor David Bedella and Broadway veteran Cory English.

The show is produced by Adam Spiegel Productions, which said: “The Producers is the biggest, funniest Broadway musical of all time.

“It’s filled with fabulous costumes, glamorous dancing girls, hysterical show-tunes and an incredible live band.”

The show will run at the Bristol Hippodrome from April 27 to May 2, with evening shows at 7.30pm and matinee performances on Wednesday and Saturday at 2.30pm.

Tickets, priced £17.90-48.90, are available from the box office on 08448 713012 or via
