Blood and gore await audiences as a NODA Award-nominated writer presents his newest play.
John Butler and The Off Street Players present Death On Location at one of Weston’s smaller independent venues next week.
Set in 1929 in a film studio, the cast are filming their final silent film – Dracula – before they enter into ‘talkies’.
But the 1897 classic gothic horror by Irish author Bram Stoker is interrupted when a number of mysterious murders start to take place.
Together with the audience, the cast and director search for the culprit but as the death toll rises, it is make-or-break time.
The murder-mystery style show at the Theatre In The Hut will leave audience members on the edge of their seats as the gruesome tale of two blood-thirsty criminals comes to light both in front of the camera and behind it too.
The show promises to deliver a shock factor while leaving the audience begging for more.
Born and raised in Weston, the show’s creator John Butler went to the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School where he gained a degree in art.
The author has recently been nominated for a NODA Award for his writing and has written a number of successful plays which have been performed at the Milton theatre.
The hut is now more than 100 years old and has a long history of hosting some spectacular productions.
The intimate setting is home to the Wayfarers drama group and holds just 60 audience members, so it is crucial to book your seat in advance.
Death On Location will be at Theatre In The Hut, off Milton Lane, at 7.30pm from Wednesday until May 13.
Tickets, priced £10, are available by calling 07596 887945.
