Few films have captured the hearts of the nation quite like Dirty Dancing, and now fans of the tale will be able to experience it live on stage at Weston-super-Mare’s Playhouse.

A Night Of Dirty Dancing: The Ultimate Tribute Show will be at The Playhouse, in High Street, for one night only in September.

People will be able to relive the passion, romance and joy of the cult classic while enjoying the songs from one of the greatest movie soundtracks of all time.

The 1987 American film stared Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey in its lead roles, following their love story through its ups and downs – including one spectacular up in the form of the famous Dirty Dancing lift.

In this show the glorious summer of 1963 will be brought back to life with songs such as She’s Like The Wind, Big Girls Don’t Cry, Hey Baby, Wipe-out and, of course, I’ve Had The Time Of My Life.

A Night Of Dirty Dancing will be at The Playhouse on September 8, at 7.30pm. Tickets, priced £21.50-23 to include a booking fee, are available via or by calling 01934 645544.
