WIN: Tickets to Des O’Connor

ENTERTAINER and broadcaster Des O’Connor will celebrate his stage and screen career with a performance at The Playhouse.
He shot to fame in the 1960s with The Des O’Connor show, and later enjoyed a successful music career.
In his new show, he will bring together fascinating stories of sharing a stage with some legendary personalities with a show-reel of clips.
He has worked with the likes of Tom Jones, Tina Turner, Elton John and Dolly Parton, and has a host of stories to delight audiences with.
During his career, he has performed more than 1,000 times at the London Palladium, and has sold out shows all over the world.
In total, he has recorded 36 albums, and had four top 10 singles, including I Pretend, which sold more than 10 million records.
He presented the long-running Channel 4 show Countdown for two years and Today With Des And Mel, opposite Melanie Sykes, from 2002-2006.
He received a CBE from the Queen in 2008.
Des O’Connor will be at The Playhouse on August 16 at 4pm.
