A crop of television stars will be at Weston’s The Playhouse theatre next month starring in an hilarious show about women’s ageing process.

Menopause The Musical will be at The Playhouse in High Street on April 14.

Following hugely successful UK and Irish tours in 2008, 2010 and 2017 the show will return with an all-star cast of hormonal women delivering sharp one-liners and versions of pop hits littered with innuendo.

Cheryl Fergison, who has previously played Heather Trott in EastEnders, will join Maureen Nolan, one-fifth of The Nolans, and Casualty’s Rebecca Wheatley and Hilary O’Neil from ITV Copy Cats will all perform hilarious roles in the hit musical which is been tickling audiences since 2001.

The side-splittingly funny story sees four seemingly very different women at a department store sale forced together.

When a black laced bra is sold the feisty females indulge in a comical discussion covering everything from memory loss and night sweats to chocolate binges and plastic surgery.

The show has been produced by Robert C Kelly who has 30 years of experience of producing plays including Defending The Caveman and Mum’s The Word.

He has also worked with stars including Elaine Page, Bobby Davro and Beverley Callard.

Menopause The Musical will be performed at The Playhouse at 4.30pm and 7.30pm.

Tickets, priced £29.50, can be booked from or 01934 645544.
