Win tickets to see X Factor winner in Sister Act
PUBLISHED: 20:00 28 July 2017
Alexandra Burke will take centre stage when Sister Act heads to the Bristol Hippodrome.
Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood’s production of the famous show will be held at the theatre during August and it will feature the incredible vocals of a former X Factor winner.
The musical, based on the film starring Whoopi Goldberg and Maggie Smith, tells the story of disco diva Deloris Van Cartier.
Her life takes a surprising turn however when she witnesses a murder and has to go into witness protection in a convent.
X Factor winners have endured mixed success, but Burke’s credits after winning the fifth edition of ITV’s talent show in 2008 are among the most impressive.
She will play Deloris after a highly successful time playing Rachel Marron in a UK tour of The Bodyguard.
Burke will be joined on stage by Joanna Francis, Joe Vetch, Karen Mann and Liz Kitchen for the evening shows. Francis may deputise for Burke in matinee shows.
The show will be performed from August 7-12. There will be a nightly performance at 7.30pm and matinee shows at 2.30pm on August 9 and 12.
Tickets, priced £19.90-61.40 are available on 08448 717627 or online at www.atgtickets.com
