The biggest one-day railway show in the South West is making its way to Weston-super-Mare this weekend – and you could win tickets thanks to our competition.

At least 25 working layouts of working railways will be on display and it is all for a good cause as all the proceeds will go to The Castle Kids Club at the Campus and Weston Hospicecare.

Over the years, the event has raised more than £35,000 for the charities and last year’s event alone raised £4000.

Organiser Keith Price alters the layout each year and visits a number of shows throughout the country for inspiration.

The Late Summer Model Railway Show will be at The Campus, in Highlands Lane, on September 10 from 10am-4.30pm.

Tickets are priced £6.50, for adults, £2 for children, £6 for OAPs and a family ticket will cost £15 on the door.

You can also pay £1 extra for early bird entry at 9.30am.

The Mercury has teamed up with the organisers to offer four lucky readers a family ticket to the show.
