British wrestling legend ‘The Rock n Roll Express’ Blondie Barratt, known to wrestling fans across the world, will be heading the bill.

He’ll be locking horns with the West Country’s own James Baker in a keenly-awaited heavyweight championship contest.

Also on the roll for the Winter Gardens event will be the likes of 18-stone Nathan Bake, the mysterious masked Salem, and Weston debutants N-Rage and Johnny Gold.

An event spokesman said: “The fans in Weston always give us a warm welcome and we are looking forward to bringing the thrills and spills of pro wrestling back to the Winter Gardens.

“It is a fantastic venue and has a rich history surrounding the sport.

“With such a huge name as Blondie Barrett on the bill we advise that fans order their tickets early to avoid disappointment as he is appearing for just one night only.”

The event is scheduled for 6.45pm on February 26, and tickets cost £10, or £8 for concessions.
