WESTON’S Grove Park will come alive with the It’s Your Neighbourhood Community Show on Thursday.

The free event, which will be held from noon to 4pm, will feature a variety of different entertainment for all the family.

It is being held at the same time that the town is judged for the South West in Bloom competition, and has been organised by Weston Town Council.

Among the varied entertainment at the event will be stilt walker Florabunda and her unique floral costume, who will tower above the crowds.

The RAFA Band, veterans of many a concert at The Blakehay Theatre and Grove Park will perform, while there will also be a birds of prey display by animal rescue charity Secret World and a traditional Punch and Judy show.

There will also be various children’s crafts and games, and community and charity stalls.

A town council spokesman said: “The show aims to provide a fun and interactive way to raise awareness of local charity and community organisations, helping the community get more involved with all the town has to offer.”
