A social tea dance for Age UK Somerset will take place in October.

Latin, ballroom and sequence dances will be enjoyed at Weston-super-Mare’s Winter Gardens venue.

Mark Helmore, who provides music at a number of dance events in the town, has volunteered his time to make the event run as smoothly as possible.

The afternoon will promote the work of Age UK Somerset, while encouraging people to enjoy one of the easiest ways to maintain health and wellbeing in later life – dance.

The date coincides with Older Persons Day, and funds will go towards growing Age UK Somerset’s activities in North Somerset, which include promoting health and wellbeing, and offering advice.

The dance will take place in the Winter Gardens’ ballroom, in Royal Parade, on October 4 from 2-5pm.

Tickets, priced £7.50, are available at www.winter-gardens-fundraising-tea-dance.eventbrite.co.uk or by calling 01823 345626.
