FIRE crews responded to a "deliberate" rubbish bin fire over the weekend.
Crew members were called out at around 6.27am yesterday (Sunday, November 5) following reports of a fire on Dartmouth Close.
On arrival, firefighters found one wheelie bin on fire.
They quickly got to work to extinguish the flames using one hose reel jet, a drag fork and small gear.
This isn't the first wheelie bin fire that has taken place in Weston this year. In May, four wheelie bins were set alight on Grasmere Drive. The incident was handed over to police to investigate.
Luckily, there were no reports of any injuries or further damage to the surrounding properties or street features on Dartmouth Close.
A spokesperson from the Avon Fire and Rescue Service said: "The cause of the incident is thought to have been deliberate ignition."
