A restaurant designed to train future chefs opened to the public earlier this month.

Weston College invested £60,000 in refurbishing The Grove, a commercially-run restaurant and industry-standard training kitchen at its Knightstone Campus.

It is designed to give students an insight into the catering industry and an understanding of the costs in running a business.

The training kitchen is fully equipped with top facilities and equipment where students are trained to prepare for future work in the hospitality sector.

Dr Phillips, the principal and chief executive of the Weston College Group, said: “The extensive work completed over the summer will help students hone their skills in an actual working environment.

“The Grove is just one of our many investments this year to ensure all existing and future learners will get the very best standard of education.”
